Payne PG80ESA Error Code 11: No Previous Code
What Does Code 11 Mean?
The integrated furnace control on the Payne PG80ESA stores the most recent fault status code in non-volatile memory so technicians can review recent diagnostic history. Code 11 indicates that memory is empty — no fault codes have been recorded in the last 72 hours.
Status codes are automatically erased after 72 hours. On boards with a red LED, stored codes can also be erased when 115VAC or 24VAC power is interrupted. So if you previously had a fault code and power was cycled (either intentionally or by a brief outage), the stored code will be cleared and replaced by code 11 on the next LED readout.
If you are troubleshooting an intermittent problem and see code 11, the fault may have been cleared before you checked. Try running the furnace through a full heating cycle and read the LED code immediately after any abnormal behavior to capture the fault code before it clears.
- No professional service is needed for this status. If you suspect an intermittent fault, monitor the furnace through several heating cycles and contact a technician if a specific fault code appears.
